I work with adults of all ages. Topics and issues addressed range from relationship issues, imposter syndrome, anxiety, codependency, grief, and trauma related issues.
In this day of mobile lifestyles, there is no need to forego mental health wellness due to your remote location, busy travel and work schedule, anxiety related to going to an office setting, or chronic illness and/or pain. I offer tele and video sessions for clients in Montana and Florida.
Living far from home can be lonely. While living in a foreign country can be exciting, it can also be confusing and alienating. Sometimes it is the subtle differences and nuances that are hard to articulate that make day to day living difficult to navigate. In addition, if your job or lifestyle has you on the move from place to place, it can be difficult and ineffective to search for a new counselor and start over with each move. I can provide you with a stable, consistent counseling relationship via video or telephone.
What would it feel like to experience or remember a traumatic event but to no longer be ruled by the emotion of it? Brainspotting is a non-invasive and gentle way to release emotional trauma or physical pain stored in your brain. It is a safe and healing form of therapy that reduces the need for extensive talk treatment. It is so valuable because it releases the traumatic experience or memory without having to “re-live” or even speak of the event and risk re-traumatization. Brainspotting locates points in the client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain. Brainspotting (BSP) was discovered in 2003 by David Grand, Ph.D. Over 13,000 therapists have been trained in BSP (52 internationally), in the United States, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Africa. Dr. Grand discovered that "Where you look affects how you feel." It is the brain activity, especially in the subcortical brain that organizes itself around that eye position.
